Conservation: Cincelichthys pearsei is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (LC) least concern (2018). Given the large distribution range for this species and the almost pristine (yet) conditions of many habitats the conservation of this species should be of least concern.
