Conservation: Vieja zonata is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (DD) data deficient (2018). Given the very large range of Vieja zonata and the relative stability of many of the locales where it dwells, there is currently little concern about the future of this species.
