Cribroheros robertsoni (Regan, 1905)

Original description as Cichlosoma robertsoni:

  • Regan, Charles Tate. 1905. "A revision of the fishes of the American cichlid genus Cichlosoma and of the allied genera". Annals and Magazine of Natural History. (Ser. 7) vol. 16; pp 60-77; 225-243; 316-340; 433-445 (ffm00042)

Conservation: Cribroheros robertsoni is not evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species. Given the very large range of the species and the relative stability of many of the locales where it dwells, plus the fact that this species is not regularly used as food fish, there is currently little concern about the future of this species.
